10 – Great Lesbian Favourites Desert Hearts is a landmark film in Queer Cinema - widely considered the first full-length lesbian love story. Desert Hearts was a brave pioneer in film - finally two women fall in love without their characters coming to tragic demise or finding themselves "crushed" as one female partner leaves for a man. Based on a 1964 novel by Jane Rule.
Vivian (Helen Shaver), a 35-year old uptight female professor, files for divorce after feeling she had "drowned in still waters". She than falls in love with a 25-year-old Cay (Patricia Charbonneau), the free-spirited casino worker - keep your eye´s peeled for one of film´s greatest entrances as Patricia Charbonneau cruises onto the scene driving the hottest of hot rods.

In 1997 Oz thrust Gay culture into Hollywood´s blaring spotlights with a ground-breaking unforgettable comedy called "In & Out". The Bubble tells the story of a group of friends, 2 guys and 1 girl, share an apartment in Tel Aviv, Israel´s trendiest neighbourhood. Dreaming of a day where Israel is free of political problems. these friends organize a beach rave against the occupation of Palestinian territories. Good times meet disappointment, when Lust gives way to romantic entanglement after a music store clerk Noam (Ohad Knoller) crosses paths with the handsome young Palestinian, Ashraf (Yousef ‘Joe’ Sweid). No cultural taboo can hold these two back from the other, nor quash their sexual attraction.
Directed by the incredible Eytan Fox, The Bubble turns its lens on the new age of youth coming out of Tel Aviv. Religion and Tradition get trumped by raging hormones, great parties and a fresh layer of belief systems.
