Are You Wearing Purple for Spirit Day?

Spiritday was created by a Canadian teenager, Brittany McMillan who brought awareness to LGBT youth bullying. Brittany spoke about #SpiritDay at the Glaad Awards.
 

 
Are you wearing purple on 17th October for #Spiritday? Purple is a signal to others that it is Spiritday. A day to unite in Spirit.

Glaad.com is a firm advocate for SpiritDay. They promote this campaign each year, spreading the word, calling to “take a stand against bullying and show LGBT youth that you support them.”

Scotiabank AIDS Walk Toronto

Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is celebrating their 25th Anniversary of hosting this very important event for our Qmmunities.

Pride Toronto 2013

Attending this years Pride Toronto 2013 weekend got my Q revving on high.

As I stepped Out the Wellesley subway station and onto the street, the slap of Queerness hit me, filling me up, now with my chest Out and shoulders square, I was ready!! Ready to enjoy Pride Toronto 2013 with my friend, Val.

 
We began our weekend with the Trans March on Friday night. This was the first time Pride Toronto Trans March was included to march down the official Yonge St Pride parade route. We were police escorted while stopping peak Friday north/south bound traffic.

Grey Bruce Pride 2013

Grey Bruce Pride celebrated their 9th year in Owen Sound, Ontario. To make this a bigger celebration, marking the 10th anniversary of Canada’s bold decision to legalize Queer marriage.

Attending this Grey Bruce Pride 2013 were many women whom have since married and are still happily married, sharing their stories and celebrating at Harrison Park, downtown Owen Sound on Saturday.
