  • Deb Pearce is from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

  • Deb started hosting and emcee'ing shortly after her first stage debut
  • Got her first job in morning radio in 2003 on JACK fm.
  • Deb Pearce was the first lesbian on the worlds only commercial GLBT radio station
  • Has been on Queer as Folk as a Drag King
  • She has sang Happy Birthday to the camera on "The Hour" to Anne Muray.
  • Deb Pearce has hosted prides all over Canada and in Washington, D.C.
  • Was nominated on the Top 100 Hot Butches List holding steady at #30.
  • Won Best Radio DJ 2010
Deb Pearce got married this summer in a private same sex ceremony attended by family and friends. Deb gave birth to a boy, early this December 2011.

Deb Pearce hosts her own TV Show, FoQus on Rogers TV. FoQus is a weekly show that highlights queer issues in Toronto's LGBTTIQQ2SA communities.

Deb Pearce is the host for the Qtravel TV Series "Bump". She joined this current season on the TV Series "BUMP" with all-time favourite host, Charlie David.

Deb was the host for the fashion show at The 1st Gay Wedding Show downtown Toronto 2011.

Toronto Pride 2010 30th Anniversary Party Pride Week kicked off with a launch party at Woody´s Bar, downtown Toronto with Deb Pearce as Master of Ceremonies. Shaun Proulx was the guest speaker.
Libido presented The Dyke March Fundraising Event at The Gladstone Hotel. Deb Pearce was the Host for the evening. Lucas Silveira from The Cliks, played an Acoustic/solo.

Deb ran in The Pride and Remembrance Run on Saturday July 3, 2010. That night, Deb got to Introduce Cyndi Lauper @ her 90 minute Free concert in Queen's Park.

I caught up with Deb on facebook to ask her what's her fav LGTB movie and more.

Deb Pearce: "Desert Hearts" when I was 19-thank you CITY tv and your Blue Movies!

Notstraight: What is your favorite genre for movies?

Deb Pearce: That depends on who I'm watching it with but I guess I like all genres if they are done well and they challenge my brain


Notstraight: What is your favorite LGTB movie?
Deb Pearce: "Longtime Companion"

Notstraight: What is your favorite Hetrosexual movie?
Deb Pearce: Hmmm...never thought of this as an actual category...uhh..one of my favourites would be JAWS - I'm in love with sharks

Notstraight: If you could have a luncheon with any two people (real of fictitious/ from any time period, dead or alive), which two people would you choose and Why?
Deb Pearce: Anne Murray and Ellen Degeneres because they are both such strong, driven women

Notstraight: Which is your favorite time of the day? Are you a morning person or a night person?
Deb Pearce: I am in love with the time of day known as 'The Gloaming' just before nightfall when everything is perfect

Notstraight: What's your favorite song/artist of the moment?
Deb Pearce: It is, has always been and will always be "Hot Child In The City" by Nick Gilder.

Notstraight: What's your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Deb Pearce: Get in my comfy clothes, pop in a movie, eat popcorn and drink iced tea

Notstraight: Are you a cat or a dog lover?
Deb Pearce: Given my allergies, I never thought I'd be either but it turns out I love them both

Notstraight: Do you have a pet/s?
Deb Pearce: Just put down my 18 year old cat "Roots" and my partner and I currently have a puggle named "Ruthie" and a big-boned Chihuahua named "Lola"
